MISSED A MONTH

The month of November flew by as we were very busy with preparations to lead a group of 13 seniors to the Dominican Republic for 8 fabulous days of ministry. The preparations to lead this exciting mission took up much more time than I anticipated and caused me to miss writing CHINA CLIPPINGS in November. I hope you didn't miss praying for China and the unusual opportunities that are opening up there.

Because you prayed and gave, here are firsthand reports just received that will make your heart rejoice.

  • A California church gave an offering for flood victims in Hunan Province for the rebuilding of destroyed homes. What joy it brought to the people!
  • 50 leaders attended a month of special training at Light of the World Church. (Location withheld)
  • Progress has been made because of many gifts from concerned people on building the Wunidong Leprosarium road which is expected to be completed by Chinese New Year's in January 2006. This pleases the government and will open the way for the needy to reach the leprosarium.
  • Construction will begin on another 40 churches before the end of 2005 through the gifts of God's people.
  • A church worker from Hong Kong traveled 1000 miles in 14 days visiting 14 churches under construction. He had the privilege of several dinners with government officials and church leaders
Christian and Missionary Alliance people may send contributions designated "China Church construction", "Alliance Radio", or China relief" to the C&MA, Box 35000, Colorado Springs, CO 80935-3500. Other denominations should contact their denominational headquarters for participation in China programs. Above all, pray for the wide open doors in so many places.

TRAINING THAT ARMY OF CROSS-CULTURAL MISSIONARIES

This is the latest report from my special sources on the training of the army of Chinese cross-cultural missionaries moving westward toward Jerusalem.
  • Several new students arrived at three centers for training people for cross-cultural ministry during September. Rejoice that in spite of political tension, they were able to reach these centers outside of their own country and prepare for ministry.
  • Several students have suffered physical illness recently, and have passed through a time of severe testing. Although these have been times of emotional stress, they stay on course with their studies and local ministries.
  • Rejoice that second year students are finding direction for their future ministries and the direction God wants them to go in. They are learning about tentmaking activities in the lands of their adoption and are proceeding with language study. This is a special breakthrough as many will study Arabic for future work.
  • Praise God that one couple leaves for assignment in an adjoining country this month and still another will leave in January. You have heard that the house churches of China want to send out an army of 100,000 workers in the next few years. These couples are part of that great army. Pray for them even though their names and locations cannot be revealed.
OBEDIENCE AND SACRIFICE ARE THE KEY

The number of students in these training centers is constantly growing. These young people have counted the cost of leaving family and familiar surroundings to penetrate the 10/40 window which is antagonistic toward the gospel. They understand that suffering lies before them and perhaps severe persecution, but they are joyfully and courageously accepting the challenge from the Lord and they will not turn back.

Will you help to strengthen them for the work God has called them to by:
  •  PRAY regularly for them to be strengthened for the spiritual battles they are facing.
  • INTERCEDE for God to open doors as they get started in language study/tentmaking projects.
  • GIVE sacrificially for the progress of the gospel in one of two ways:                    .

                1) For those interested in training Chinese students for the Missionary Army, send your gifts to LFD, (Leadership For Development), Box 541328, New York, NY 11354 with the designation "Training Cross Cultural Workers". . For further information about this group contact Kahu@juno.com/    I highly recommend this group known to me personally.

                2) If you want to be a prayer partner with LFD, a guaranteed reliable group of Chinese workers preparing people for the Missionary Army send an e-mail to prayer@lfdusa.org and ask for their monthly prayer requests by e-mail. Tell them you got this information from CHINA CLIPPINGS.

A 10/40 WINDOW COUNTRY TO PRAY ABOUT

The country of Nepal lies in the 10/40 Window and urgently needs prayer support. It is the only Hindu country in the world. The people face pressure from within and without the country to conform to the Hindu  religion. The caste system has created deep differences between the rich and the poor. 88% of the people are Hindu and only 2% are Christian and tensions are rising between the groups as the Hindus seek to restrict Christianity from growing. Out of the 27.5 million people in the country, 40% live below the poverty level. About two thirds of the men are literate while only 25% of the women are. Praise the Lord the small group of believers is growing and reaching out to neighbors and friends in spite of threats of persecution. This is one of the difficult lands where some individuals of the Missionary Army may go some day. Pray for open doors and a good reception.

A GREAT NEED- AN EVEN GREATER OPENING

"One of the most fertile fields for Bible distribution is in the People's Republic of China," so says a report from the American Bible Society! The demand for Bibles continues unabated, but the demand far exceeds the supply. The Church continues to grow in spite of persecution in many places and the arrest of house church pastors, and that only increases the demand for Bibles. The American Bible Society continues to make paper for Bibles available without cost to Amity Press which is the only official Bible printer in the country. Although they produce several million Bibles every year, the demand is so great that many groups still share a Bible. For $1.00 per Bible, you can have a vital part in getting God's Word into China. That $1.00 provides the paper for a Bible. Whatever you give, be it $1.00 or $100.00, you are assured that an equal number of Bibles will be printed and distributed. Send your gifts to the American Bible Society.

AN UNSOLICITED RECOMMENDATION

Dr. Ray Pritchard wrote in November, "I have just finished reading "Exiles of Hope." In many ways it is even more riveting and moving than "Red Runs the River." I have just posted a review on my Crosswalk weblog. I hope it causes many people to buy both books in the series. And I hope even more that God uses this series to stir the hearts of many Christians to a deeper devotion to Christ."

These books, and "Hijacked" for children, are all available from my office. Check out www.bollback.com for prices and shipping or send an e-mail for information and special bulk prices.. Give them to young people and your church library as soon as possible.

THE MK SCHOOL LIBRARY FUND

This fund was established to provide a complete set of my books to any MK School Library in the world free of charge. It is financed by $1.00 from every book sold, The fund is growing rapidly and books are on their way to several MK Schools. If you are aware of a bona fide MK School anywhere outside of the USA, send me the name, address and e-mail of the principal or the school. Contact will be made and if the school desires the books, they will be sent totally cost free. Thanks to all who have purchased any of my books because that is making the fund grow. Some young men at a boy's ranch recently accepted the Lord while reading Red Runs the River." That is exciting news I am thrilled to pass on to you.
