Something unusual is happening in China every day. Whatever you have heard about this fabulous land is probably true, but it doesn’t necessarily mean it is true everywhere. Consequently, in this report you will hear of great and unusual blessings in some places while in other places, you will hear of persecution and hardship. In this report, we try very hard to give the full picture of both sides so that prayer will be more effective. If it differs from what you have heard, just understand that the country is vast and reports vary. Receive the good news with thanksgiving, and pray earnestly about the bad news to be changed for the glory of God.

NYACK COLLEGE PRESIDENT VISITS CHINA

Dr. David Schroeder, president of Nyack College, in his monthly UPFRONT report records the exciting news that Zhejiang Normal University, with more than 20,000 students has extended an invitation to the college to continue the summer program of Nyack students assisting them in teaching middle school children English. Students have been going to China for four years already. This extension enlarges the program and involves Nyack in the training program of a major university. Pray that students going to China this summer will have an effective ministry in building relations that will affect the Kingdom of God.

RED RUNS THE RIVER

Since my book, Red Runs The River, was released in March, it has had a very unusual reception everywhere. Thank you, thank you, everyone who has ordered the book or loaned it to someone to read. This authentic and amazing story is getting out and people are reporting that once they started reading the book, they could not put it down. They are also asking for  "Exiles of Hope" Volume 2 to be completed as soon as possible. I am completing an interim at Derwood Alliance Church in Maryland and will return home to Florida in mid-July. BACK TO JERUSALEM PROGRESSING

Another amazing development in China today is the advancing movement called Back to Jerusalem. For several years Chinese church leaders have been impressed by the Holy Spirit to carry the gospel back to Jerusalem through the 10/40 window lands where Buddhism, Hinduism and the Muslim religions hold sway. At present, hundreds of young people are in training for this arduous missionary challenge. MORRISON ACADEMY IN TAIWAN

Morrison Academy is a missionary children's school located in Taiwan. Your prayers for this institution are earnestly requested for faculty, staff and students. With summer approaching, students will be at home with parents for several weeks of vacation. Pray that this time with parents will build strong relationships and prepare the children and parents for the difficult times of separation. Pray for the students who have graduated and who will make their way to the USA for college. For parents and children, there is always the pain of separation. Pray for grace and strength to carry everyone through these difficult partings.
