RADIO REACHES ALL OF CHINA

An amazing amount of radio programming is reaching into China from many sources, and a substantial amount is aimed at children. Trans World Radio beams in three popular programs: Children’s Bible Study, Joyful Island and Popcorn are the names. These children’s programs touch thousands of lives and open the way for parents to hear the truth as well. Alliance Radio is also effectively reaching children and young people. Far East Broadcasting Corporation joins in the big trio that is giving China ’s young people an opportunity to hear the Good News. Hundreds of hours of hard work and hundreds of dollars go into the production of these programs. Pray that each of these organizations will have every need provided to keep the programs going forth.

FOUR CHINESE ALLIANCE CHURCHES IN ENGLAND

Ten years ago the Hong Kong Chinese Alliance sent two couples as missionaries to England . During these ten years, four strong congregations have been developed. “Six individuals who have experienced the control of evil spirits have received help,” says the pastor, Karl Leung of the Manchester Chinese Alliance Church . “As they committed themselves to the Lord, He delivered them from demons and set them free.” Many have removed idols from their homes and their lives. EE HAS BIG PLANS FOR CHINA

Evangelism Explosion is seeking to provide scholarships for pastors in each of China ’s 23 provinces to attend EE Clinics. In these five-day training clinics, hundreds of pastors will be trained to teach their people how to share their faith and ground people in the Word of God. New materials are also being provided for this ambitious ministry. Prayer is requested for the Chinese leadership and for help and wisdom in translating materials. EE in Chinese has been translated as “An Appointment With God.” Pray that EE will truly be the means of bringing thousands of people in contact with God and prepare them to share their faith for the rest of their lives. EE Hong Kong will celebrate their 25th anniversary in  November of this year, and all are invited to attend the celebrations.

BIBLE SCHOOLS ALSO FLOURISH IN CHINA

In southwest China , a Bible seminary with 67 students is preparing to move into a new facility approved by the government. The down payment has been made on a building, and most of the needed funds are already in hand. Pray that all needs will be met. 80% of the students of this school are ethnic Hmong people who will serve their people in the remote mountains of China bordering on Vietnam . The two year course is being extended to a three year program to better equip these students.

In another school in Central China , more than 40 students are studying in a short term training program of three to four months. This training period is in progress right now, and will continue through April. Helpers from Taiwan are able to participate in this ministry.

PASTOR’S LIBRARIES ARE BEING PREPARED

In Taiwan , libraries for pastors are being prepared so that graduates will start off with good books to help them as they serve the Lord. About 75 sets of books are being prepared for the graduates. Pray for the needed funds to make up the largest possible library for these graduates. Sometime take a look at your pastor’s library and see the abundance of books he has available. Then think of these Chinese pastors with 2 or 3 books as their only tools for ministry. Then pray and ask God how you can be involved in providing the tools that will equip these pastors. If interested in helping with this project, please write for instructions on how to do so.

AMBASSADORS FOR CHRIST PROVIDE   LITERATURE

Contact Ambassadors for Christ at 1-888-462-5481 or check out their web site.   This organization has a wealth of suitable material for all kinds of needs in reaching Chinese people.

CHECK OUT HTTP://WWW.BOLLBACK.COM

Check out my web site that is maintained by my youngest son, Jonathan, who is a church planter in Leesburg , Virginia . There you can read the current CHINA CLIPPINGS and also research the archives from more than two years of back issues. You can also read reviews of my exciting mystery books for children as well as information about Senior Ministries in which we are also involved. Right now we are completing an interim at Tri-City Alliance Church in Tempe , Arizona where we have been since December. We are thrilled with many conversions among our young people and adults. A baptismal service for about 20 is set for Palm Sunday afternoon. We will complete our mission here on May 18 and then return to our home in Kissimmee to continue the many projects we are engaged in for the Lord..

“RED RUNS THE RIVER” TAKING SHAPE

Thank you for praying for me as I write another book entitled RED RUNS THE RIVER which is a novel of the triumphant story of the Chinese church under Communism. It will chronicle the true stories of our brave and committed Chinese brothers and sisters who have served God in a most inhospitable environment for many years. Without a doubt, what we are experiencing today in China is the result of the commitment unto death of thousands of valiant men and women who refused to renounce their faith in Jesus Christ. It is two thirds completed now.

PASS THIS ON

Each month the mailing list grows. It takes more work to maintain such a long list, but it is a great joy to see more and more people joining in prayer for China . Forward this to your friends or churches and request to be added to the mailing list. And for the few people who want off the list, just send me a note and your wish will be accomplished.
