Dear faithful Band of Warriors, for once I am at a loss for words (well, almost)….(Great story below!!)

ANSWERED PRAYER:  Our time going to the earthquake village went great!  No checkpoints or security problems, every seat on our bus was filled, over 40 kids loved the Children’s Olympics…everything we asked you to pray for He answered.  

I received the account below (connect to report here) today from the leader of a team of volunteers we worked with there and had no idea they were living under such poor conditions to live God’s love in these villagers’ lives.  These volunteers left a very modern city with most if not all the comforts you live with, so the contrast of living conditions is even more amazing!

I am almost speechless as I try to grasp the sacrifice and discomfort these Asian sisters and brothers are willing to endure for the sake of sharing the Gospel with this earthquake village whose very foundational security – the ground they walk on - has been shaken to the core!  And it continues to be shaken, and the few remaining buildings continue to crumble, as they experience ongoing aftershocks and the moment by moment uncertainty it creates.  

I am led to ask myself when have I ever given so sacrificially for others and I come up with nothing.  What an amazing privilege to work side by side with believers of such commitment!

What a beautiful picture of the perfect life Jesus left in Heaven to come to a sinful, broken world so that we might spend eternity with Him!!  Please pray that their sacrifices would not be in vain; and that just as the earthquake created great cracks in the roads we traveled on, He would crack open the spiritual strongholds and break forth His Light in the hearts of these dear and shaken people living in darkness!
