I had heard that among a minority ethnic race “______” in (__province__), over 80% are Believers. I had the opportunity to visit (__province__) in person. Before starting out on the trip, I neither knew the place that I was about to visit nor was aware that I am no longer a 30 year old. Not recognizing my own physical limitation, I requested the tour guide to take me to his village. We spent half day on a train, then on a bus and then on a car and then got on a boat sailing down the (__River__).

THIS REPORT COMES FROM A RELIABLE SOURCE SHOWING CONSIDERABLE DAMAGE FROM THE SICHUAN EARTHQUAKE IN NEIGHBORING PROVINCE OF GANSU. Gansu Earthquake Damage – report from our Chinese partners

Our teams in Gansu bore witness to the damage and disaster caused by the earthquake. “Again, here it comes again,” is a popular saying in these parts. The daily aftershocks (as many as 40 a day) have utterly shattered the will of the people.

This report comes from a Chinese traveler in Sichuan and Gansu. The House Churches of China are responding to the urgent needs of the people of Sichuan ad Gansu and the tremendous losses experienced by the people. They are not only carrying urgently needed relief supplies, but also Bibles and other materials to help people with their spiritual needs. This is one of the exciting stories coming out of the devastated areas. Pray for the Chinese church as it serves in the name of Jesus.

We are seeing so much devastation it just goes on for miles and miles up the valley roads. 80 - 95% of buildings destroyed and people living in tent cities. Five million homeless starts to sink in when I think I have only been up two valleys of many that probably all look the same.
