The Bollback family has spread all over the globe. There are Bollback's in Europe, the USA, and the Caribbean. With that kind of spread, there is no way that a family reunion will bring us all together any time soon. So keep us all up to date with your contributions to this site. Anton and Marie Bollback tingled with excitement in 1892 as their ship glided into New York’s famous harbor past the Statue of Liberty. The sight of Miss Liberty sent a wave of joy through them and the hundreds of other immigrants onboard that ship. The two ardent German Catholics crossed themselves, prayed for success in this strange, new land and started down the gangway on Ellis Island with their young child. They were about to begin a life beyond their wildest imaginations.
